Microsoft has announced
that it has changed the name of its upcoming real-time strategy game Sigma: The
Adventures of Rex Chance to Impossible Creatures. The game is in development at
Relic Entertainment, the studio that created Homeworld, and it lets players
create a variety of creatures by combining traits of more than 50 different
animals. Players then pit their creatures against the armies of their enemy.
Impossible Creatures is set in the 1930s on a
series of remote islands. The game includes approximately 15 missions, and it is
scheduled for release in 2002. For more information visit the Relic
Entertainment Web
site.
